If educational publishers would publish content to be iPad ready, can you imagine the power of this type of an interface/”chalkboard of the future” in a professor’s hands? He/she could:
- Intuitively and efficiently locate an item
- Drag it over to the main viewing are
- Enlarge a table of data and then annotate it
- Quickly shrink a graphic and move it to the side of the screen after discussing it
- Annotate a photo or a website
- Send the captured image of what he/she had been displaying and working on to devices that can “hear” that signal
- Etc. etc. etc.

Combining social networking with studying, Grockit encourages academic success through peer interaction
Aiming to engage students who are multitasking with different forms of technology, companies are creating collaborative learning spaces online where students can help one another solve homework problems and study—all while building important 21st-century skills.
One such social-networking study site is Grockit, which currently offers test-prep services and is expanding its focus to include math and English for students in grades 8-12, with history and science soon to follow. Grockit has opened enrollment for a free Summer Enrichment Academy, which is designed to keep students from falling behind during summer vacation as they participate in collaborative group study forums online.

Why if you miss Siri you’ll miss the future of the Web — from Scobleizer
Siri is the most useful thing I’ve seen so far this year. But after playing with it, getting an interview with its CEO (video here on building43) it’s even more important for you to pay attention to. It is the best example of what the web will be (emphasis DSC).

Siri is just a beginning step to realizing this vision of “delegated computing”, where all the world’s services are being dynamically combined at the user’s beck and call. I do strongly agree with Robert’s post in that I believe that this will happen and that delegated computing will be an import part of the future of the web, and the way we interact with computers in general.
