America’s schools are failing our kids. On this point, the data is clear. While some people blame the kids, or simply want to throw more money at the problem, we know that real change requires a better system — one that puts students’ needs before those of special interests or wasteful bureaucracies.

I’m so excited to see this movement. I hope that there might be someone way that I may be involved in future conversations of how to proactively engage and empower young people to make the world the place they wish to live because we are no longer waiting until they feel they have little to live for to do something. I may not have a great deal of money to donate, but I am willing to donate my time, years of experience and the curriculum I have developed to support and/or train young people and other adults who wish to support youth.
