The nonprofit\u2019s\u00a0<a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.my5thyear.com\/?utm_source=the-job.beehiiv.com&amp;utm_medium=referral&amp;utm_campaign=adulting-and-career-exploration\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">5th Year program<\/a>\u00a0gives young adults a structured year to live on a college campus and explore careers, gain work experience, and build life skills.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\n<p>An initial cohort of 24 students\u00a0<a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.toledoblade.com\/local\/education\/2025\/05\/07\/ja-5th-year-program-graduate-24-students-junior-achievement-high-school-seniors\/stories\/20250506117?utm_source=the-job.beehiiv.com&amp;utm_medium=referral&amp;utm_campaign=adulting-and-career-exploration\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">graduated<\/a>\u00a0this May from a trial run of the program based in Toledo, Ohio. Each participant held two internships\u2014one in the fall and one in the spring. They also visited 60 employers across the metro area.
