Yet low-income people typically\u00a0<a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/iaals.du.edu\/sites\/default\/files\/documents\/publications\/justice-needs-and-satisfaction-us.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">can\u2019t afford a lawyer<\/a>, and more than\u00a0<a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/justicegap.lsc.gov\/resource\/executive-summary\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">90% fail<\/a> to get enough help with their civil legal problems.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\">To expand access to high-quality legal assistance, the nonprofit\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.frontlinejustice.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Frontline Justice<\/a>\u00a0<span style=\"color: #800000;\">is leading a\u00a0<a class=\"link\" style=\"color: #800000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.frontlinejustice.org\/about\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">campaign<\/a>\u00a0to develop a new type of job role\u2014frontline legal helpers.<\/span><\/strong> As part of that effort, a recently launched\u00a0<a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.frontlinejustice.org\/task-force\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">task force<\/a> is working on standards and credentialing for training these workers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><b>The Big Idea:\u00a0<\/b>Community justice workers won\u2019t be lawyers.
