\nThe online education nonprofit Michigan Virtual has partnered with Stride Tutoring to offer remote academic support for students in 700 school districts as part of a statewide push to reverse pandemic learning loss.<\/em><\/p>\n

Online education provider Michigan Virtual is working with a Virginia-based online tutoring company to increase access to personalized academic support for Michigan students, according to a\u00a0news release<\/a>\u00a0last month. The partnership is in line with a statewide push to reverse pandemic learning loss through high-impact tutoring.<\/p>\n

While the conversation clearly focused on a continuing worldwide crisis in education, the\u00a0UNESCO conference<\/a>\u00a0I participated in\u00a0was different. It emphasized a topic\u00a0of huge importance<\/a>\u00a0to improving student outcomes, and coincided with the release\u00a0of a report<\/a>\u00a0detailing how effective leaders can make a big difference in the lives of children.<\/p>\n

\nLeadership is important, for sure. But being a leader in education is very difficult these days — there are many different (and high) expectations and agendas being thrown your way from a variety of shareholders. But I do appreciate those leaders who are trying to create effective learning ecosystems out there!<\/span><\/p>\n
