According to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/cybersecurityventures.com\/jobs\/\">one estimate<\/a>, by 2021 an estimated 3.5 million cybersecurity jobs will be unfilled. And of the candidates who apply,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.isaca.org\/cyber\/Documents\/State-of-Cybersecurity-infographic_res_eng_0217.pdf\">fewer than one in four<\/a>\u00a0are even qualified.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">That\u2019s why many large corporations are investing in longer-term solutions like\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2018\/10\/15\/business\/ibm-takes-cybersecurity-training-on-the-road.html\">mobile training trucks<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.inc.com\/michelle-cheng\/cybersecurity-companies-will-soon-have-millions-of-jobs-they-cant-fill-heres-tactic-theyre-using-to-close-talent-gap.html\">apprenticeship programs<\/a>. But Texas A&amp;M University has found a way to solve its labor shortage in the short term. It\u2019s pairing student security beginners with AI software.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">The college\u2019s Security Operations Center deals with about a million attempts to hack the university system each month. While the center does have some full-time employees, the majority of its security force is made up of students.
