Now it\u2019s in our cloud, available anywhere. Back then, Watson consisted of a single software application powered by five core technologies. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ibm.com\/smarterplanet\/us\/en\/ibmwatson\/what-is-watson.html\" target=\"_blank\">Today, it includes 28 cognitive services.<\/a> Each represents a different mode of thinking\u2013visual recognition, personality insights, relationship extraction and tradeoff analytics, to name a few. And more are on the way.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">That\u2019s a lot of technological progress in five years, underpinned by IBM\u2019s deep technology capabilities in areas like data analytics, open standards, cloud services and security, and our deep knowledge of industries and professions.
