\nI find Chapters 38-42 from the Book of Job to be very humbling.\u00a0 When I read those chapters, I often begin to try to answer the questions (and not get very far!) or I imagine others trying to explain how this or that thing occurs (and many, with an incredible amount of confidence in their perspectives).\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

But the explanations seem trite in regards to the LORD’s overall lines of questioning therein. One of the messages I walk away with is that we live on this earth for such a short time — and there is much we don’t know from the past, the present, or from the future.\u00a0\u00a0 Below are some verses from Chapter 38.<\/span><\/p>\n

Job 38 (NIV)<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

The Lord Speaks<\/strong><\/p>\n

38\u00a0Then the Lord spoke to Job out of the storm. He said:<\/p>\n

2\u00a0<\/sup>\u201cWho is this that obscures my plans
\nwith words without knowledge?
\n3\u00a0<\/sup>Brace yourself like a man;
\nI will question you,
\nand you shall answer me.<\/p>\n

4\u00a0<\/sup>\u201cWhere were you when I laid the earth\u2019s foundation?
\nTell me, if you understand.
\n5\u00a0<\/sup>Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know!
\nWho stretched a measuring line across it?
\n6\u00a0<\/sup>On what were its footings set,
\nor who laid its cornerstone\u2014
\n7\u00a0<\/sup>while the morning stars sang together
\nand all the angels shouted for joy?<\/p>\n
