One of the things I see is that somehow no one\u2019s really addressing the quality of the learning experience, and it seems like a huge blindspot.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">I realize that in many cases they\u2019re caught between a rock and a hard place. They want to keep costs down, and they\u2019re heavily scrutinized. \u00a0Consequently, they worry very much about having the\u00a0<em>right\u00a0<\/em>content. \u00a0It\u2019s vetted by Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and has to be produced in a way that, increasingly, it can serve face to face (F2F) or online. \u00a0And I think there\u2019s a big opportunity missed. \u00a0Even if they\u2019re buying content from publishers, <strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\">they are focused on content, not\u00a0<em>experience<\/em>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>Both for the learner, and developing learner\u2019s transferable and long-term skills.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #800000;\">From DSC:<\/span><\/em><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #800000;\">I commented on <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.learnlets.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Clark&#8217;s blog<\/a> how much I appreciate him putting that posting out there and helping us think through things.\u00a0 I like his emphasis on creating an effective, engaging learning <em><strong>experience<\/strong><\/em>. This is why I think it will take a team-based approach in the future, as no one person has all of the skills to provide this type of experience. Clark alluded to this as well in his posting when he discusses some of the various roles out there (SME, ID, etc.).
