areas of learning for students that include creativity, critical thinking, communication and collaboration. \u00a0In Forsyth County Schools, we\u2019ve been working hard with parents, teachers and students to embrace learning with student-owned technologies; something we call Bring Your Own Technology (BYOT). \u00a0<strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\">What we know for sure is that BYOT is really more like\u00a0<i>Bring Your Own Learning<\/i>\u00a0because we\u2019ve discovered that it is NOT about the technology \u2013 it IS about the learning.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><em>From DSC:<\/em><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #800000;\"> This aligns well with<\/span> <a href=\"http:\/\/novemberlearning.com\/educational-resources-for-educators\/teaching-and-learning-articles\/why-schools-must-move-beyond-one-to-one-computing\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Alan November&#8217;s replacing &#8220;one-to-one&#8221; with &#8220;one-to-world.&#8221;<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\">But whether we use the acronomyns BYOD, BYOT or BYOL (or whatever), <strong>it&#8217;s all about students being able to contribute content (hopefully that <em>they created<\/em>) and participate in the
