Drupal is not the answer. Plone, WordPress, Moveable Type, Joomla, PHPNuke, Moodle, NOTEPAD is not the answer. <strong>We need to start looking at systems development based on a services and scalability perspective.\u00a0 No <em>one<\/em> system is going to solve that problem<\/strong><em> (emphasis DSC).<\/em><strong> <\/strong>We need to start looking at what systems do well and then play to those strengths in the creation of a service.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">So, what I\u2019ve proposed above is more of a communication between and across systems.\u00a0 Things like single sign on systems and simple modules within each project could allow users to flow seamlessly between them.\u00a0 RSS and XMLRPC calls could allow session \/ user display data to flow seamlessly across each.\u00a0 The most important thing though is that any system can be any CMS\/LMS choice.\u00a0 Example of that\u2026.<\/p>\n<ul style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\n<li><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Core LMS \/ data system is Moodle<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>CMS is Drupal<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>SMMS is Drupal<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Syllabus system is WordPress<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Communications system is Plone<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Blogging platform is moveable type<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Wiki collaboration via Wikispace<\/span> <\/strong> <em>(emphasis on bulleted points: DSC)<\/em><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Global success, Global failure of the CMS\/LMS needs to\u00a0stop &#8212; from Drupal Education for Educators I know you\u2019re saying \u201cbut Bryan, didn\u2019t you mean just the Drupal solution\u201d, no.
