New media, for this event, is interpreted broadly as anything from creative uses of digital media and new forms of communication to alternative publishing methods and media-rich tools. The Symposium seeks to explore new media in the context of a current social phenomenon and not simply as a means of content delivery.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nmc.org\/2010-nml-symposium\" target=\"blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.nmc.org\/files\/conference\/banners\/NML-Landscape.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"480\" height=\"360\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Join keynote speakers <a href=\"http:\/\/www.storycenter.org\/\" target=\"blank\">Joe Lambert<\/a> of the Center for Digital Storytelling and  <a href=\"http:\/\/website.education.wisc.edu\/steinkuehler\/blog\/\" target=\"blank\">Constance Steinkuehler<\/a> of the University of Wisconsin&#8211;Madison in sessions that delve into topics from educational gaming to telling deeply compelling stories using digital media.
