Higher education might be on the verge of a radical overhaul to bring it up to speed in the age of\u00a0artificial intelligence<\/a>. At the\u00a0TED2026 conference<\/a>, Khan Academy, TED and ETS announced that they\u2019re partnering to establish the\u00a0Khan TED Institute<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 a new program that reorients the\u00a0college curriculum<\/a>\u00a0around AI. By joining forces, the\u00a0education technology<\/a>\u00a0trio aims to develop an alternative to traditional universities that better tracks student progress, teaches\u00a0more relevant skills<\/a> and provides a more personalized learning experience.<\/p>\n

Accessibility is another major tenet of the Khan TED Institute. Its virtual nature allows anyone with an internet connection to participate in the program and makes it easier for students to move at their preferred pace. And because its curriculum prioritizes competency over course credits, advanced learners can complete the program in a shorter period. Time isn\u2019t the only thing students can save on, either: The Institute promises a\u00a0bachelor\u2019s degree<\/a>\u00a0for less than $10,000, offering a much more\u00a0affordable alternative<\/a>\u00a0to the typical four-year degree.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
