And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><em>[From DSC: It&#8217;s been hard for me to get my arms around the love of Christ. He loves like no other. May I love a small fraction of the way He loves. In the period of Lent that we recently finished&#8230;as I was thinking of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, I wanted to focus on His love for us&#8230;not just His incredible courage.]<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=psalms%2030%3A10&amp;version=NIV\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Psalm 30:10<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Hear, Lord, and be merciful to me;<br \/>\nLord, be my help.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=psalms%2031%3A1-3&amp;version=NIV\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Psalm 31:1-3<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\n<em>For the director of music. A psalm of David.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">1 In you, Lord, I have taken refuge;<br \/>\nlet me never be put to shame;<br \/>\ndeliver me in your righteousness.<br \/>\n2 Turn your ear to me,<br \/>\ncome quickly to my rescue;<br \/>\nbe my rock of refuge,<br \/>\na strong fortress to save me.<br \/>\n3 Since you are my rock and my fortress,<br \/>\nfor the sake of your name lead and guide me.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Romans%2010%3A9-10&amp;version=NIV\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Romans 10:9-10 \u00a0<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">9\u00a0If you declare\u00a0with your mouth, \u201cJesus is Lord,\u201d\u00a0and believe\u00a0in your heart that God raised him from the dead,\u00a0you will be saved.\u00a010\u00a0For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Lamentations%203%3A22-26&amp;version=NIV\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Lamentations 3:22-26 <\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">22\u00a0Because of the\u00a0Lord\u2019s great love\u00a0we are not consumed,<br \/>\nfor his compassions never fail.<br \/>\n23\u00a0They are new every morning;<br \/>\ngreat is your faithfulness.<br \/>\n24\u00a0I say to myself, \u201cThe\u00a0Lord\u00a0is my portion;<br \/>\ntherefore I will wait for him.\u201d<br \/>\n25\u00a0The\u00a0Lord\u00a0is good to those whose hope is in him,<br \/>\nto the one who seeks him;<br \/>\n26\u00a0it is good to wait quietly<br \/>\nfor the salvation of the\u00a0Lord.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>1 John 3:16 This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us.
