New A.I. technology will change the practice of law, and some jobs will be eliminated, but it also promises to make lawyers and paralegals more productive, and to create new roles. That is what happened after the introduction of other work-altering technologies like the personal computer and the internet.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/arxiv.org\/pdf\/2303.01157.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/arxiv.org\/pdf\/2303.01157.pdf\">One new study<\/a>, by researchers at Princeton University, the University of Pennsylvania and New York University, concluded that the industry most exposed to the new A.I. was \u201clegal services.\u201d\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ansa.it\/documents\/1680080409454_ert.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Another research report<\/a>, by economists at Goldman Sachs, estimated that 44 percent of legal work could be automated.
