These tools might help you quickly create first drafts of\u201d learning outcomes, discussion prompts, rubrics, and formative assessment items.\u00a0 The point is that LLMs can quickly generate rough drafts that are mostly accurate drafts, that humans can then \u201creview, augment, and polish,\u201d potentially shifting the work of instructional designers from authors to editors. The post is well worth your time.<br \/>\n&#8230;<br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\">The question that I\u2019d like to spend some time thinking about is the following: What\u00a0new\u00a0knowledge, capacities, and skills do\u00a0 instructional designers need in their role as editors and users of LLMs?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>This resonated with me. Instructional Designer positions are starting to require AI and ML chops. I&#8217;m introducing my grad students to AI and ChatGPT this semester.
