Amid this unprecedented school year, teachers are learning some new things along the way, too.<\/p>\n<p id=\"QEXEVSXSD5H2TGEZDK4BJDEZDQ\" class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">&#8230;<b><br \/>\n3. Virtual learning has exposed the depth of Michigan\u2019s digital divide<br \/>\n<\/b>Systemic gaps in technology access among school districts around the state left thousands of students at a disadvantage this year, despite\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mlive.com\/public-interest\/2020\/09\/shaky-internet-access-across-michigan-poses-problems-for-online-schooling.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">efforts by educators to fulfill short-term connectivity needs<\/a>\u00a0during virtual learning.<\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #800000;\">From DSC:<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"color: #800000;\">These are just a couple of reasons that I say that Rome wasn&#8217;t built overnight.
