The research,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/mitibmwatsonailab.mit.edu\/ai-jobs-future-of-work\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><i>The Future of Work: How New Technologies Are Transforming Tasks<\/i><\/a>, used advanced machine learning techniques to analyze 170 million online job postings in\u00a0<span class=\"xn-location\">the United States<\/span>\u00a0between 2010 and 2017. It shows, in the early stages of AI adoption, how<i>\u00a0<\/i>tasks of individual jobs are transforming and the impact on employment and wages.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\u201cAs new technologies continue to scale within businesses and across industries, it is our responsibility as innovators to understand not only the business process implications, but also the societal impact,\u201d said\u00a0<span class=\"xn-person\">Martin Fleming<\/span>, vice president and chief economist of IBM. \u201cTo that end, this empirical research from the MIT-IBM Watson AI Lab sheds new light on how tasks are reorganizing between people and machines as a result of AI and new technologies.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">While most jobs will change as new technologies, such as AI,\u00a0scale, the research shows few jobs will actually disappear.
