Alexa is everywhere from the house to the car, Siri is in the palm of your hand and students and the wider community can now get instant responses to their queries. We as educators have a duty to make sense of the information out there, working alongside AI to facilitate students\u2019 curiosities.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>Instead of banning mobile phones on campus, let&#8217;s manage our learning environments differently<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">We need to plan strategically to avoid a future where only the wealthy have access to human teachers, whilst others are taught with <span class=\"lexicon-term has-tooltip\"><abbr title=\"artificial intelligence\">AI<\/abbr><\/span>. We want all students to benefit from both. We should have teacher-approved content from\u00a0<span class=\"lexicon-term has-tooltip\"><abbr title=\"virtual learning environments\">VLEs<\/abbr><\/span>\u00a0and\u00a0<span class=\"lexicon-term has-tooltip\"><abbr title=\"artificial intelligence\">AI<\/abbr><\/span>\u00a0assistants supporting learning and discussion, everywhere from the classroom to the workplace.
