Acts 16:26-34 (NIV)<\/span><\/strong><\/a>\u00a0— from BibleGateway.com<\/span><\/p>\n

26\u00a0<\/sup>Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken.\u00a0At once all the prison doors flew open,\u00a0and everyone\u2019s chains came loose.<\/span>\u00a027\u00a0<\/sup>The jailer woke up, and when he saw the prison doors open, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself because he thought the prisoners had escaped.<\/span>\u00a028\u00a0<\/sup>But Paul shouted, \u201cDon\u2019t harm yourself! We are all here!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

29\u00a0<\/sup>The jailer called for lights, rushed in and fell trembling before Paul and Silas.<\/span>30\u00a0<\/sup>He then brought them out and asked, \u201cSirs, what must I do to be saved?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

31\u00a0<\/sup>They replied, \u201cBelieve\u00a0in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved\u2014you and your household.\u201d<\/span>\u00a032\u00a0<\/sup>Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all the others in his house.<\/span>\u00a033\u00a0<\/sup>At that hour of the night\u00a0the jailer took them and washed their wounds; then immediately he and all his household were baptized.<\/span>\u00a034\u00a0<\/sup>The jailer brought them into his house and set a meal before them; he\u00a0was filled with joy because he had come to believe in God\u2014he and his whole household.<\/span><\/p>\n
