{"id":6430,"date":"2010-06-23T12:03:16","date_gmt":"2010-06-23T16:03:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/danielschristian.com\/learning-ecosystems\/?p=6430"},"modified":"2011-01-10T15:27:35","modified_gmt":"2011-01-10T20:27:35","slug":"how-to-create-a-successful-m-learning-strategy-from-upside-learning","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/danielschristian.com\/learning-ecosystems\/2010\/06\/23\/how-to-create-a-successful-m-learning-strategy-from-upside-learning\/","title":{"rendered":"How to create a successful M-Learning strategy &#8212; from Upside Learning"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><a title=\"Permanent Link to How To Create Successful  M-Learning Strategy: mLearnCon \u2013 Part I\" rel=\"bookmark\" href=\"http:\/\/www.upsidelearning.com\/blog\/index.php\/2010\/06\/23\/how-to-create-successful-m-learning-strategy-mlearncon-part-i\/\">How to create a successful  M-Learning strategy: mLearnCon \u2013 Part I<\/a> <\/strong>&#8212; from Upside Learning by Amit Garg<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Last week I attended a day-long certificate workshop at the inaugural  mLearnCon in San Diego titled <a href=\"http:\/\/www.elearningguild.com\/mLearnCon\/concurrent-sessions\/session-details.cfm?session=2404\" target=\"_blank\">Creating a successful m-learning strategy: From  Planning to Implementation<\/a> conducted by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.elearningguild.com\/mLearnCon\/concurrent-sessions\/speaker-details.cfm?event=62&amp;speaker=646\" target=\"_blank\">Judy Brown<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.elearningguild.com\/mLearnCon\/concurrent-sessions\/speaker-details.cfm?event=62&amp;speaker=965\" target=\"_blank\">Rovy Branon<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.elearningguild.com\/mLearnCon\/concurrent-sessions\/speaker-details.cfm?event=62&amp;speaker=1675\" target=\"_blank\">Jason Haag<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.elearningguild.com\/mLearnCon\/concurrent-sessions\/speaker-details.cfm?event=62&amp;speaker=1691\" target=\"_blank\">Chris Raasch<\/a>. The workshop was well designed and  gave a wide range of information along with templates and charts that  could be useful for the beginners and the slightly more experienced  professionals in the field.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Judy had this quote on a slide which I think summarizes how important  mobiles are for our future:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>\u201cMobile phones are misnamed.They should be called \u2018gateways  to all human knowledge.\u201d<\/strong><br \/>\n&#8211;<em>Ray Kurzweil, Futurist (at Handheld Learning \u201909) <\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">I believe this to be true and all organizations will realize this  sooner or later. The pace of change is phenomenal and m-learning has  truly come of age now.
