Once we grasp that essential insight, we recognize our responsibility and capability for building our dreams of tomorrow and avoiding our nightmares<\/em>.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">\u2013Edward Cornish<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #800000;\">From DSC:<\/span><\/em><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #800000;\"> This posting represents Part III in a series of such postings that illustrate how quickly things are moving (<a href=\"http:\/\/danielschristian.com\/learning-ecosystems\/2015\/11\/19\/the-need-for-ethics-morals-policies-serious-reflection-about-what-kind-of-future-we-want-has-never-been-greater\/\" target=\"_blank\">Part I<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/danielschristian.com\/learning-ecosystems\/2015\/12\/15\/the-need-for-ethics-morals-policies-security-serious-reflection-about-what-kind-of-future-we-want-part-ii\/\" target=\"_blank\">Part II<\/a>) and to ask:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #800000;\"> How do we collectively start talking about the future that we want? <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Then, how do we go about creating our dreams, not our nightmares? <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Most certainly, governments will be involved&#8230;.but who else should be involved? <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\">As I mentioned in Part I, I want to again refer to<\/span> <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.futuristgerd.com\" target=\"_blank\">Gerd Leonhard&#8217;s work<\/a> as it is relevant here, Gerd asserts:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #008000;\">I believe we urgently need to start debating and crafting <strong>a global Digital Ethics Treaty<\/strong>. This would delineate what is and is not acceptable under different circumstances and conditions, and specify who would be in charge of monitoring digressions and aberrations.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Looking at several items below, ask yourself&#8230;is this the kind of future that we want?\u00a0 There are some things mentioned below that could likely prove to be very positive and helpful.
