If possible (which it is), that would approximate the kind of feedback experience I aimed to offer students without constraining it to a particular time or location.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Screencasting (recording and narrating actions performed by the instructor on a computer screen) did that and much more for me and my students. Below I describe the process and the resulting benefits.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>From DSC:<\/em><br \/>\nThough Ron mentioned that he selected <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.screencast-o-matic.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Screencast-O-Matic<\/a> <\/strong>on his PC (and he also mentioned <a href=\"https:\/\/support.apple.com\/en-us\/HT201066\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Quicktime<\/strong><\/a>), I wanted to offer up a couple of other possibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Professors using <a href=\"https:\/\/en-us.help.blackboard.com\/User_Filter\/Instructor\/No_Mobile\/Higher_Education\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Blackboard Collaborate<\/strong> <\/a>can be heard while marking up a document in Word, Google Docs, or in other applications by making recordings while using the <em>Application Sharing<\/em> feature.
