It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.<\/span> <span id=\"en-NIV-28671\" class=\"text 1Cor-13-5\"><sup class=\"versenum\">5\u00a0<\/sup>It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.<\/span> <span id=\"en-NIV-28672\" class=\"text 1Cor-13-6\"><sup class=\"versenum\">6\u00a0<\/sup>Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.<\/span> <span id=\"en-NIV-28673\" class=\"text 1Cor-13-7\"><sup class=\"versenum\">7\u00a0<\/sup>It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span id=\"en-NIV-28674\" class=\"text 1Cor-13-8\"><sup class=\"versenum\">8\u00a0<\/sup>Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.<\/span> <span id=\"en-NIV-28675\" class=\"text 1Cor-13-9\"><sup class=\"versenum\">9\u00a0<\/sup>For we know in part and we prophesy in part,<\/span> <span id=\"en-NIV-28676\" class=\"text 1Cor-13-10\"><sup class=\"versenum\">10\u00a0<\/sup>but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears.<\/span> <span id=\"en-NIV-28677\" class=\"text 1Cor-13-11\"><sup class=\"versenum\">11\u00a0<\/sup>When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me.<\/span> <span id=\"en-NIV-28678\" class=\"text 1Cor-13-12\"><sup class=\"versenum\">12\u00a0<\/sup>For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span id=\"en-NIV-28679\" class=\"text 1Cor-13-13\"><sup class=\"versenum\">13\u00a0<\/sup>And now these three remain: faith, hope and love.
