Project Dream School starts with a simple question:<\/p>\n

If you could build a dream school, what would you do?<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Furthermore:<\/p>\n

What would the building look like? The methods? The teachers? Technology? The mission? \u2026does it need to be a school, or should it be a bootcamp for designing futures\u2026 life\u2026 the perfect job?<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Last Thursday, many great minds assembled to discuss just this\u2026 and how to make it happen<\/em>. Sir Ken Robinson<\/a>, Jeff Jarvis<\/a> and I joined the discussion by Skype with Peter de Visser<\/a> (principal), Marcel Kampman<\/a> (creative organizer), Ellen Mashhaupt<\/a>, Bianca Geerts<\/a>, Fons van den Berg<\/a>, Rob van der Ploeg<\/a>, Bram Verhave (Architecture historian STEK, advisor to Chief government Architect), Peter de Visser<\/a>, Ton Dohle<\/a>, Bjorn Eerkes<\/a>, Maurice Mikkers<\/a>, Lex Hupe<\/a>, Arjan Dingst\u00e9<\/a>, Hartger Meihuizen (staff Stad&Esch<\/a>), Roel Fleurke (staff Stad&Esch<\/a>), Koene Kisjes (student Stad&Esch<\/a>), Christian Paauwe (student Stad&Esch<\/a>), Bart Hoekstra<\/a> (student Stad&Esch<\/a>), Jan Albert Westenbrink<\/a>, and Annette Stekelenburg<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The project will have a website up-and-running soon at projectdreamschool.org<\/a>,<\/strong> and also in Dutch at: projectdroomschool.org<\/a>. As a Skype (distant) participant, I really cannot report on how the entire discussion went, so make sure to follow the project sites for their take on the meeting and their next actions as they work to transform their dreams into reality.<\/p>\n
