Also more home automation fueled by wifi modules that can be added to any existing device like the aforementioned Spark, <a href=\"http:\/\/wiki.openpicus.com\/index.php\/FLYPORT_IDE\" target=\"_blank\">the flyport<\/a> and the <a href=\"http:\/\/electricimp.com\" target=\"_blank\">Electric Imp.<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Reassuringly, these are what we think of as \u2018<a href=\"http:\/\/www.webofthings.org\/about\/\" target=\"_blank\">Web of Things\u2019<\/a> rather than \u2018Internet of Things\u2019 examples, meaning they use open Web standards not closed protocols, such as REST APIs with HTTP over Wifi.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Javascript\/node.js will show up on devices e.g. program your <a href=\"http:\/\/www.raspberrypi.org\">Raspberry PI<\/a> directly with javascript, instead of lower-level, more complex\/technical languages.
