Based on a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bja.gov\/Publications\/RAND_Correctional-Education-Meta-Analysis.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">new meta-analysis<\/a>, <span style=\"color: #800000;\">&#8220;inmates who participated in correctional education programs had <strong>43 percent lower odds<\/strong> of returning to prison than inmates who did not.&#8221;<\/span> The study also set out to find whether technology-led instruction among inmates could cut down on recidivism as well as teacher-led instruction.
