How many are there today? We have no idea since 2006 was the last year that the government bothered to count this huge and growing sector of the American workforce.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #800000;\">From DSC:<\/span><\/em><br \/>\n<strong><em><span style=\"color: #800000;\">How can we better teach our students to thrive as freelancers? <\/span><\/em><\/strong><em><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Will their background of being successful at standardized tests help them in this si<\/span><\/em><em><span style=\"color: #800000;\">tuation?\u00a0 Will being able to\u00a0plug-n-chug on equations cut it?\u00a0 We better start getting much more creative and allowing our students to be more creative &#8212; to pursue their own passions, gifts, abilities.
