Participants received this email February 2,\u00a0 at 4:17 pm (PST).\u00a0 \u201c<em>We want all students to have the highest quality learning experience. For this reason, we are temporarily suspending the \u201cFundamentals of Online Education: Planning and Application\u201d course in order to make improvements. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause. We will inform you when the course will be reoffered.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><em>From DSC:<\/em><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000080;\">There will be many more disasters I&#8217;m sure. But as with learning, failure is to be expected (<a href=\"http:\/\/edudemic.com\/2013\/02\/failure-is-mandatory-creating-a-culture-of-innovation\/\" target=\"_blank\">some would say mandatory<\/a>) and <a href=\"http:\/\/learningismessy.com\/blog\/\" target=\"_blank\">learning is messy<\/a>. This is especially true when technological change and innovation are moving at ever-increasing speeds. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">The questions that comes to my mind after reading this are:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><span style=\"color: #000080;\">We still need to experiment &#8212; but how do we experiment with MOOCs on a smaller scale?<\/span><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><span style=\"color: #000080;\">How can we keep things manageable?<\/span><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Can bloggers help in sharing what&#8217;s working and what&#8217;s not?
