One example, which I wrote about in today&#8217;s paper, is a  professor at Virginia Tech who helped his students create a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/wp-dyn\/content\/article\/2011\/03\/06\/AR2011030602729.html\" target=\"_blank\">mobile application that tracks city buses<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">But why the lack of interest in CS in the first place?<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Here are just a few reasons, according to several professors and  others I interviewed for the piece.
